Boise State University is kind of a big deal in our neck of the woods so I get a lot of requests for BSU cakes. This one is a gluten free cake that has a raspberry cream filling (made with fresh raspberries that I just picked this morning!) and then it's covered in marshmallow fondant. The Bronco logo is also made from fondant.

Another Toy Story cake. This was a chocolate cake with vanilla filling and vanilla buttercream to top it off. The 'rope' is made from chocolate fondant and the characters are just toys. (Because there's NO WAY I could sculpt something that detailed out of fondant... just sayin')

Star Wars cake for Janet. The bottom two layers are covered in marshmallow fondant. The top is a ball cake shaped to be the Death Star. Ball cakes always look squished to me, not sure why...

Both layers of this Lady Bug cake are vanilla with a raspberry filling and then covered in a basic marshmallow fondant. I made the flowers and bugs out of fondant and used food markers to add embellishments. The "1" is a gum paste/fondant mix that uses the magic of tooth picks to keep it upright. HA! I just completed the look with some food safe heavy gage wire that I coiled around a dowel to get the cork-screw effect. Cute, eh?

Chocolate cupcakes for a baby shower. Some are frosted with peanut butter frosting and topped with Snicker's candies while the others are filled with raspberry, frosted with butter cream and then topped with a raspberry heart.

Star Wars Cake!

Here's a Lego Star Wars cake for a friend's son. I made a sheet cake, cut it in half and then stacked it on itself to create a 2 layer HUGE Lego! I used my cool new air brush to spray the Lego silver, then made the little Legos and Star Wars characters out of fondant.
