It was a busy weekend for me! I had lots of cakes, cupcakes and cake pops to make for people - here's how it went.
The first cake was for a boy who loves Harry Potter. I used a ball cake pan (two halves of a ball that get put together once the cake is baked) for the Golden Snitch and a pillow cake to rest it on. I used some glittery scrap booking paper and floral wire to make the wings and then had fun with my air brush to get the ball all nice and golden.

Alice in Wonderland cake for Natiah's birthday! It's a pillow shaped cake with a frilly checker board as it's base decoration. I made the Cheshire cat, Hatter's hat, pocket watch, tea set, the Queen's scepter and her two card soldiers out of fondant. The Queen of Hearts is made from a jumbo cupcake that I covered in fondant and then I squished her under the pillow (stealing an idea from The Wizard of Oz). A super fun cake to make!

And here are the cupcakes that went with the Alice in Wonderland themed party. There are hearts on swirls of butter cream frosting for the Queen of Hearts, fondant red roses on a canvas of black fondant and the striped shirt and trousers for the Tweedles from the new movie.

Cake pops! These (along with 10 dozen regular cupcakes & 9 dozen mini cupcakes) were for an open house for a couple who just got married. Their official reception was back east and they decided that some fun treats would work nicely for their friends here.
